Rivertowne Brewing Schedules Taproom Release of Amish Mafia Strawberry – Rhubarb Sour.
PITTSBURGH, PA – June 8, 2018, Rivertowne Brewing, an independent craft brewery located just outside of Pittsburgh in neighboring Murrysville/Export announces their Scheduled Taproom release of Amish Mafia Strawberry – Rhubarb Sour.
Amish Mafia, a strawberry – rhubarb sour, is scheduled for release on June 15, 2018, at 3:00 PM at the brewery taproom in Export, PA. The limited release will be made available on draft and in 16 oz 4 pack cans. These 4 packs can be purchased for $13.99. Customers are permitted to purchase up to one case (six 4 packs) of this limited offering. In an attempt to ease the process of waiting in a lengthy line, Rivertowne Brewing is accepting payment from fans who would like to reserve 4 packs of Amish Mafia before the release date. These reservations can be made through the brewery taproom.
“It is our hope that we can ease the process a bit for folks who may not be able to make the trip out to Export to stand in line,” stated VP of Sales & Marketing, Rob Johnson. “We feel that this approach will also ease the process for our staff and our regular customers who visit the brewery taproom each Friday.” “We are very excited about how the 2018 batch came out. This beer will satisfy many different drinkers, including those who may not regularly refer to themselves as beer drinkers.”
Rivertowne Brewing Head Brewer, Dale Walters, shared the following regarding the recipe and process. “Amish Mafia was inspired by a Strawberry Rhubarb pie purchased from a farmer’s market when traveling through Amish Country. We kettle soured this lightly-bodied ale for 48 hours to create a tart, almost sourdough-like profile. Yogurt was used to sour the mash and the beer was fermented on copious amounts of strawberries and rhubarb purees. The end result is a crisp, tart, easy-drinking beer that is perfect for quaffing while taking in some fresh country air.”
If you would like to get your hands on some of this 2018 limited release, please plan accordingly. Once the available inventory has been depleted, this beer will be unavailable again until around this time next year.
